Sunday November 6, 2011 "Day Three" NEW MEXICO

Computer connections in San Jon were nil (Verizon), so we had had coffee and eagerly headed westward!   Magee had announced on 'Day One' that McDonalds once again offered their 'McRib', and we decided on something different for our 3rd day because there was no way any of the parking lots would accomodate our rig.  Subway had a breakfast flatbread, we ate that, but Magee was hungary again within a short while.  Remember those Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels she had bought at Camping World?  She broke the seal and the smell took us away.  We turned up the country music on the radio and mingled with the truckers fighting the 'winds' feeling like road warriors!
We made a roadside stop for pecans, walnuts, peanuts, and pickled okra, hit a souvenier place for post cards, and went to Clines Corners for memories!   Clines Corners has 'remodeled' since I was last there, so the absence of the 'old familiar atmosphere' shortened our visit!  After picking up a couple of small things for the folks back home (drink coasters and a t-shirt), it didn't take long for us to hit the road, again looking for cheap gas!
Gas was $3.19 because we didn't have a '10 cents off' discount card, but we wanted to 'land' all tanked up for Monday!   We asked questions and found that a casino down the road offered free parking, a great buffet, and free internet.

We stopped!   After we offered up the appropriate information, we were given a 'Rewards Card", and a 'gift' of a little blue step-stool each, making a quick trip back to the RV a complete necessity to store them away!

We ate!  We donated!  We 'tried' to blog! We slept!

We finally got this blog started using the bare minimum of 'the offerings' available to make it look great, so all suggestions are welcome!   We are settling in at the casino with all these wonderful amenities looking forward to the next leg of our adventures on 'Day Four'!

If you are just joining us on our adventure, please go back and read from 'the beginning'!   All 'advice for blogging' and help will be most appreciated!  This is our FIRST BLOG and we need help!
