Friday November 4, 2011 "THE BEGINNING"

RV-Singles group is all about being 'single' and a desire to 'travel', but sometimes it's much more fun and inviting if there is someone to share the 'trip' with you!   I had posted on RV-Singles a rather lengthy 'list' of all the things that would 'seem to be splendid qualities' in a travel partner, thinking that the message would inspire others to give their personal opinions, too.  Instead,  I received an unexpected email from a long-time member of my RV-Singles' group!
It was a message from Magee sharing the 'specifics' of a 5th Wheel she would like to sell. 

In the last paragraph,  she mentioned that she thought our 'lists' of requirements for a travel partner might match up pretty well if I was serious about wanting to go to California!  I immediately responded, we exchanged a couple of emails and phone calls, and set the 'date of departure' for November 4, 2011.
Not believing it could really be true and not having ever met Magee personally, my anxiety level rose a bit as the departure date approached, and I sent an email to Magee saying:  "Magee, Are you SURE sure??     

Magee was SURE sure!  She drove over 507 miles from Missouri to Texas.  She is real, and her big red truck is sitting in my driveway!  She loaded her 'stuff' into my 'stuffed' RV and we left town!

We landed at ''Camping World'' outside Denton, TX with only 15 minutes to 'shop' before they closed! 

I bought a couple of things, Magee bought some Peanut Butter Pretzel Nuggets, and the manager gave us his blessing to spend the night!  How could he refuse after our purchase?  We had a hard time finding a place for everything, and we labeled our day as 'Successful'!!

We reorganized and went to sleep!
